Techniques System

#5.1 Overview

110 techniques exist in ROKI Clash, organized into three rarity tiers. Each ROKI has a loadout of 5 technique slots (Copy Ninjas get a 6th slot — see Part 6). The loadout is assigned at Fighter Creation and is permanent except through the Reforging mechanic (see Part 15).

Default cooldown is 2 rounds after use. Some techniques have longer cooldowns (3 or 4 rounds). Once-per-match techniques exist for the most extreme abilities.

Full lists preserved from the original ROKI Everything document. 43 Rares cover damage boosts, zone targeting, disruption, healing, reflection, disabling, and utility. 54 Commons cover consistent bread-and-butter effects. All effect handlers are implemented in techniqueHandlers.ts in the codebase.

Notable Rare examples: Double Strike, Ambush, Precision Strike, Combo, Bulldoze, Haymaker, Fortress, Parry, Poison, Predator, Time Bomb, Phantom, Final Stand.

Notable Common examples: Cheap Shot, Lunge, Heavy Slam, Iron Skin, Deflect, Dodge, Brace, Last Stand, Second Wind, Adrenaline, Thorns, Punish, Rage, All or Nothing.
